You can do a transfer by yourself. Just connect a VCR to a DVD recorder, then press the play and record buttons.
The machines do the work. You should get a reasonable copy of your tape, but little or no improvement in the viewing experience.
Our process requires better equipment and a higher level of technical training and experience as well as an understanding of what makes a good viewing experience. When we convert your videotapes to DVD or Blu-ray, we provide you with a clean crisp digital version of your original videotape that you can watch over and over again. It's easy to find the scenes you want to watch and you can share your memories with family and friends.
We start by inspecting your videotape. It's very helpful to us if you identify any tapes that didn't play right or were damaged.
Then we view your tape(s) and convert to digital files which we optimize and prepare for DVD authoring.
Some whole tapes can be combined to fit on a single disk depending on their duration and original quality.
We can also provide additional editing services if you want to shorten tapes, change scenes or add titles or pictures too.

When all the digital assets are ready, we author your disk with a custom Menu, scene selections and chapters.
The finished DVD has a personalized label and comes in a standard jewel case for protection.
